Air-X Wind Generator...worth the money for marine version?

Sounds to me that they are charging an extra $200+ for additional coat of paint and some antiseize on the fasteners.

Does anyone have any insight into Marine vs. Non-Marine version of the Air-X wind generator? Also, if you have a better wind generator to recommend...please do.

Have you read the practical sailor test from last year?
http://airbreeze.com/files/Practical...generators.pdf

The one major missing element in this test is the FourWinds which has typically been rated at or close to the top in other tests.

I think we've gone down this road before. Did you try a site search?

Buy the land version and a couple of cans of KRYLON ELECTRONICS VARNISH, about $6 a 20oz can and spray everything inside and out and you pretty much have a marine version that is incredibily resistant to saltly, wet enviorments. The only differance is no gold plated interior contacts. Doesn't really matter if no moisture can get to them through the varnish. Oh yeah the varnish will work on anything electrical on a boat to prevent corosion.
