Cleaning

I have now taken apart and cleaned my Air-x where the sliprings were full of coaldust. The positive ring hade a groove in it. I dismantled the sliprings and grinded the surface smooth. The othe two I just polished. No need to change circuitboard and no need to dismantle yawbearings. Working fine again.

More coaldust

After all it was the same problem once again. More dust that had to be cleaned out. No need to replace the board. I have no explanation why it was full odust after such a short time.

Re: Air-X Service Experience

Hello.
I have similar experience with my Air-X 400.
I need new set of brushes and sliprings w/cable for plus and minus.
Where can I get these spareparts?

regards
Kjartan

Re: Air-X Service Experience

I have now replaced my sliprings after experiencing the same thing once again. This time the sliprings had such deep grooves in them that I had to change them. I learned that original parts are only availible as a whole kit whit the yaw bearing assembly included. My supplier here in Sweden had a chinese copy of the sliprings for a fraction of the kit price.
