Aero4gen Wind Gennie Spins around

Hi all

We have aero4gen on our boat. Overall it works well. It mainly faces the wind but tends to spin around at times (often) - the whole thing that is, not just the fan blades! I only have to look around the marina and other gennies are sitting true facing the wind when mine is dancing around to know its not really right. I reckon it's due to the short tail tube on the Aero4gens.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Any problems if i just lengthen the tail tube? Will that work?

How is it mounted? If not in clear air, like behind the rig mounted aft, you'll get these behaviors

Look how mine is. It's an example of bad mounting, and is one of the things ill change...

I have a D400 which tends to spin when in the dock, which is due to air turbulance from other near by boats. On passage or at anchor its fine, unless the boat is rolling a fair bit.
