Adding 12v socket to spare 100watt panel.

I would either add the panel to your existing solar controller or get another inexpensive controller as btrayfors posted. Run it into your house bank and wire the 12 volt outlet to your existing panel or to the batteries with a fuse in the positive wire close to the battery.

Any other solution makes less sense.

You need a charge controller designed for the type of battery you have. If it's a type of outboard with the battery self-contained you can really screw it up by charging at too high of a voltage

Already got panels for the house, this was just for charging my electric outboard, they do a panel but it's crazy expensive. Looks like a bit of a pain so won't bother.

It may not be that hard, we just need to know exactly what you are asking...

What I see now is:

1. You have an extra panel that you would like to use to charge an elect OB battery?

2. This OB battery system seems to have a 12v cig plug option to charge?

3. You want to connect a 12v cig socket to the panel

If this is correct then all you need to do is regulate the voltage output of the panel so you don't blow your 12v charging pigtail to the OB battery... The charging regulator is all built into the OB batt???

You can damage any battery by charging at a voltage too high.

You need a controller.
