I understand how resistance increases with length. So all you are saying is that with equal length charging cables, that you have an optimal system and not that your system requires this? Or does it require equal length cables?

Sorry David not sure what you are asking. What I was told was that it is more important that the added cable lengths for each group of batteries be as close to the same size as possible and that was more important than cross connecting, but who knows…just different opinions I guess.
