220A Power Bastard Alternator??

I don't think it would be very damaging to the battery. Elsewhere in these forums are data from 5C currents being put into AGM's without damage. I do know that it will eat a 3/8" belt within minutes, though.

That was the whole point of my question!..Why even bother having a 220A alternator with this setup.? OP..this was for you.

Ex-Calif... It may surprise you, as it did me, to learn that some AGMs can absorb 2.5C. My Lifeline AGM brochure claims that it can. So theoretically, his 210AH battery could absorb 500A. ...not that I'd want to be the crash test dummy who proves them wrong.
