Yanmar engine mounts

Hi

Replacing our yanmar engine mounts on a 4JH5E with SD50 saildrive. Does anyone know the durometer of the Yanmar mounts? Specs are not provided by Yanmar of their hardness, and need to know this to be able to consider a non-yanmar replacement.

Thanks!

Re: Yanmar engine mounts

The engine mount doesn't care what brand of engine you put on it
It cares about the weight.

This should help

Yes, but for instance on my engine there are two different rating mounts, maybe due to engine torque? Not sure.
I'd go with Yanmar mounts or at least get the part numbers and call for that part number replacement

Re: Yanmar engine mounts

I've never seen detailed specs from Yanmar, would love to if someone has them. Yanmar mounts have a part number and an 'ID'. The ID is the weight rating (in pounds I believe, go figure).

The 4JH5 with SD50 is specced from the factory (IIRC) with a set of ID 430 mounts. The ID should be embossed in the rubber on the side of the mount, so you may be able to check existing.

Re: Yanmar engine mounts

Some people have had issues with third party Yanmar mounts.
