Re: williams turbojet 385 on davits lagoon 450

I found a solution this company can make what I want. They are going to make a simulation of the installation. If I have it I will post it.

Yacht Cranes and Davits for Dinghies - FEMstrutture

a specially the flamingo 1700 the will reinforce them to 250KG each.

Ofcourse the safety with my children driving and playing with the tender is also a big plus. So if it is possible anyhow and I,ve seen a Williams 325 (only 35KG lighter) behind a Lagoon 450 so hopefully it's possible.
I'm not sure I see the safety of turning kids loose with that. I had a 3HP Johnson. A 100 or 120 HP ?

There is a secret switch which reduce the power with 50% so for children aged up 12 years it would be OK to use.

Sorry that Iam not able to upload photo's but FEM made a nice simultation and it looks great I think

Re: williams turbojet 385 on davits lagoon 450

We have a similar sized Nautica with a 40 Hp Yamaha that does 30 kn. It was too heavy for davits so we towed it coastal only. One thing to consider in the davit design is the weight of water the dink could capture in a following sea offshore. Or take measures to prevent, such as a cover. Like you we thought it would expand our coastal explorations. It did not. A little more time in a smaller one was more enjoyable. I do like the fuel commonality with the Lagoon. Keeping that much petro around was a pain as well as dangerous.
