weeping Keels '96 Lagoon TPI 35

Good Evening All,
We have a 35 TPI Lagoon (purchased her 3 weeks ago)and have just pulled her onto the hard, after 1 week, we still have water coming out of the Port Keel. We did have a Refrigeration issue due to a bad design, lots of water built up, rotted floor and such. This issue has been fixed and we have a beautiful fridge with no chance of a leak. Anyway, we are looking for ideas on getting the water out! 3 1/2 gallons came out with a wet vac and dripping after that. Today the dripping has subsided by a lot. There was also a bad fix done to the front of the keel, from what we believe could have been a grounding, which could be part of the water issue. The Starboard keel has been drilled to check for leaking, some water has come out today (the holes were drilled 2 days ago it this keel). There is no other water in the boat. The tanks are empty, the holding tank is gone - yeah a new one is still wrapped and waiting install. The windows do not leak, we have a dehumidifier onboard and literally have gotten anything water related OUT of her.
We hope not to be on the hard for more than a month; however, have the time to do this if needed.
Thoughts on excorcising the water and fixing the keels after this process is done?

Re: weeping Keels '96 Lagoon TPI 35

I suspect that the keels on the 35 are sacrificial and that the water has entered through, what you describe as a 'bad fix' to the front of the keel. When submerged this would allow the internal compartment of the leaking keel to fill with water and would throw the balance of the boat off significantly. If the water were coming from the interior of the boat it should have accumulated in the bilge or sump. If, however, that is what you are referring to, then even if the ports are not leaking there is always the possibility of water entering from exterior hatches when it rains. Have you checked the drains on the lips of all exterior hatches to ensure that they are not plugged and that the hoses are intact?
