water under the floor in the living room
Hi
I’ve got a new catamaran lagoon 450s. I’ve recently stumbled upon a problem. In cupboards underneath the floor in the central room water is gathering. Most likely it is condensation. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Re: water under the floor in the living room
Condensation, if it is require ventilation or a dehumidifier - Meaco DD8L is very good.

Have you confirmed if Fresh or Salt Water ?
We store vegetables in those two cupboards, and I havn't noticed any water in them.

Re: water under the floor in the living room
Causes for water in the saloon:
You left a front window open and water goes between the window and the sill.
AC unit condensation.
We don’t have AC but yes, I’ve left the windows open and had a massive squall fill up all our floor space cupboards. [emoji4]

I found the cause
At the bottom of the refrigerator is draining water, when I stopped water does not collect.
How do you clean up the drain to make it work properly?

Re: water under the floor in the living room
It sounds like the refrigerator drain is working properly, but why is the collected water not being removed with a bilge pump? Or perhaps the drain needs to be piped to bilge that is pumped out. I don't know your boat, but draining water to 'cupboards' below the flooring that are typically used for food storage doesn't make sense to me.

Find the drain that's supposed to allow condensate water to flow to the bilge in the hull closest to the fridge, and clear it.

The simplest solution is to remove the frig.

The fridge drains out the port hull. Open the port side cupboard opposite the nav desk and there’s an access panel in the bottom. That’s you’re blocked hose in there.

The freezer on my 450 has been a problem leaking condensation from day one.
Most likely source. I added ventilation slots to the outside door and it helped some. Diligent daily mopping the condensation on the freezer door may help but is not the solution. I plan to replace the freezer with a flush mount stainless steel door.
Cheers,

Re: water under the floor in the living room
Make sure that the small drain hose is plugged into the back of the drip pan under the freezer compartment in the refrigerator. It can go off unnoticed when you clean it.

I feel sure the OP probably checked that. It is generally alga A periodic does of bleach will eliminate its buildup Reefer or AC drip pan.
