440: Twixter for sale!

Having visited the this vessels website many times for great information on the 440, I was surprised to see it for sale on this Australian site. I notice however the vessel is actually in Portugal. All good things come to pass....

Glad you like the website. My husband worked hard to get some good information up on our site, though the log is a bit behind He is also very active on the Lagoon Yahoo group.

Cathy i was just reading the Boatpoint advertisement and they have mistakenly called your main engines 'YAMAHA'S' from memory you have 'YANMAR'S' ....

I am revarnishing the wood around the boat is there a special varnish to use?

Cathy, I'm in the second year of ownership. When I was new to the boat, your website was a very frequent port of call for me. The work that went into it was clearly very substantial and it has proved to be an invaluable to me in particular, but I'm sure to a host of others. Commendations and thanks you and your husband.
I too hope your sale progresseswell to completion soon. By all appearances, Twixter is a fine vessel.

I just redid ours, the wood is Teak and i sanded and oiled it. Varnish is way too much work i'd rather oil.... Cheers

We haven't re-varnished any interior wood yet. The running rails are left alone. A woodworker told us just to wash them with laundry detergent and a plastic scrub pad. He said that teak oil will make the wood soak up the pollution in the air.
