Hello everyone and those who've been waiting for new Lagoon 520 news.
I have visited the new Lagoon in Bordeaux on saturday in order to change my 500 to 520.
Let me put it this way,for the first time after a visit to a new boat I didn't start dreaming or spent a sleepless night.
She looks little bit more agressive with soft knuckles at stern and bow shape is also good looking afterall I like her look more then 450 and 560.
Nauta design did well
interior job with good
cabin layouts.
They carried the
mast backward, result is a pillar in the middle of the
saloon.First boat was equipped with self tacking
genoa,I think this is standard.Boom ends far from the end of flybridge,I dont know how one can reach to the end of the boom unless lowering it down which is impossible with large solid
bimini.
It's a strange feeling to steer the boat so close to
mast, lets say 2m away from it only and while hoisting the main should be difficult to watch its going up,The
wheel therefore can be moved to left-right
Generator room is accessed through a
hatch, seems like you can not remove the genny unless you literally cut a bigger hole, very tight space, they also installed
charger, inverter and alikes which I didnt like since this part of the boat is getting wet most.
Entrance to aft port
cabin is only possible from cocpit by a lifting door,on a rough sea it might take spray inside to cabin. There are only 2 small cocpit lockers which was very dissapointing, also in forward there are only 2 not 4 like 500 has.
The optional painted davids are real nice and functional.
Saloon, also good looking its significantly smaller then 500.
lenght overall is 15.84
waterline 15.6
beam 8.60
and light weight 56.658lb
