440: Rigging Question

Should the leeward rigging slacking or loosen when I'm on a tack? My last boat the rigging never slacked but on my 440 I've noticed that it slacks a lot when I'm sailing around 15 knots or above. I asked my rigger and he said that it should slacken some but I just had an instructor at my 100 Ton class said it probably shouldn't. Sometimes the turnbuckles actually touch.

Some slack is normal, now if the turnbuckles touch with each other could be a lot, ask a rigger to perform a uppers tune.... Cheers.
