Unzip the stack pack, attach main
halyard to
mainsail head, uncleat the mainsheet,
head the
boat into the
wind, raise the
mainsail by pulling down on the
halyard, wrap halyard around
mast winch to get last six feet to top. As mainsail gets to the top, the topping
lift slackens automatically as the boom end rises. Set the main traveler, cleat the mainsheet, turn off the
wind a bit, unfurl
jib and trim, done - you're sailing.
Unless we are
racing, we just leave the stack pack as is.
