Is the table low or the seat high?

For anyone interested, here's a poorly translated version which will total the cost in USD for a specific build.

We have our kids on our L46 and don't feel FB is an issue. Just have the right rules in place for the kids. Our kids wear MOB devices at all times and they are instructed not to play with buckets etc while at sea. Also, we keep an eye on them at all time. The kids made this video showing how they lived on the boat.

Re: New Lagoon 460

Hi, I'm looking to buy a cat mainly for daysailing with my family (me, my wife and our 3 little kids). I'm newbie in sailing and it's going to be my first boat. Lagoon 46 looks interesting. But I was told that they are not as fast as the competition. And I see that with 16ton displacement its not the lightest boat as well. If we are going to add equipment like hydraulic bridge, aircon, hard bimenie etc. then it's going to be even heavier. My question to ones who had experience sailing this boat, how do you find its performance compared to others in this category?

Re: New Lagoon 460

Hi Polkul, I would advise to charter several models, for you to be able to compare what suits best for you. I ordered my L46 in sept 2018, to be delivered in May 2020. I plan to sail full-time with 2 kids (5y and 8y). they are already used to cat sailing. (I chartered a friends nautitech 47), I chose the L46 because of the space! would have preferred a S version but does not exist. With fast cats, you loose space...so the choice is... space vs speed. but most important, what is good for me may be bad for you....so charter for at least 2wks each model before deciding. ;-)

Re: New Lagoon 460

Hi JPmee, thank you for advice. Yes, we are planning to charter as well. But still I'd like to have some expert opinion on the performance of L46... I'm looking at family-oriented cats, so it's important to have space and comfort. But also we want to be able to sail, so if it is too slow to go anywhere then it won't be much fun. I'm not expecting the performance of sports cat from it, but is it on par with the other cats in this category? Like, for example, how is it compared to Nautitech-47 or Fountaine Pajot Saona-47?
