Manufacturer of cabin light switches?

New 380. Wanting to change cabin lights from white to red/white so I can have red at night.

I asked lagoon support for the manufacturer of the light, they said they didn't know. Sigh. Took the light down , ound the manufacturer, in Italy, emailed, got the us office, they were very helpful, told me of a brand new light that does exactly what I want.

However, I need a double throw switch. I am hoping that the company who makes the current switch might have one that would fit in the same space, but I can't find who the manufacturer is.

Logged into parts . Beneteau, but they only show a drawing, not the manufacturer.

These are the white switches, about 1.5 in sq, same size as the US plug ac outlets.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Manufacturer of cabin light switches?

Why not change the bulbs to these?

You get led, red and white, and you keep your existing switch.

Becuase my lights are integrated 'pucks', you can't change out the leds, they are enclosed and sealed in. New LED lights don't let you get to the LEDs, it is a single self contained puck with wires coming out.

If you google LED you will find a lot of info on how the led lights work and how to wire them with a resister to make them work. Then after you know about them you can buy the bulbs themselves and the resisters, very inexpensively, Then you can make whatever kind of light you want. Just curious but why would you want the cabin lights to be red? Mac

Re: Manufacturer of cabin light switches?

We have some very nice chrome over bronze (cast not stamped) perko cabin lights that were originally regular bulbs. We removed the bulb holder and put in LED and luckily the switch (on/off) is a simple toggle so we could replace it with a double pole double throw short body switch that let us have red if the switch is in one direction and white in the other. We love it and use the red all the time, yes. We haven't made a blog post of it--this gives us an excuse to do so and post here in a couple days. We got the LED and controllers from DealExtreme but we modified the controllers...that's what the blog post needs to be about, breaking in to the circuit, tapping in...resistors and the like. I'll take one apart and get a few pics I guess....

Re: Manufacturer of cabin light switches?

Hi Jbinbi,
The square light switches on Lagoons are standard domestic wall switches from France. I doubt whether CNB sells them. If they do it would be for a premium price.
I recently bought a few spares, single and double throw and switch surrounds from a hardware store (Bricomarche) in France. Brand is "Bricelec". In French, a switch is called a "fonction". Any French hardware store will stock these.
Not sure if they do internet sales. www.bricomarche.pl
Cheers.

Re: Manufacturer of cabin light switches?

Would these fit in the same hole?
http://www.imtra.com/lighting-tri-color-series.htm

Imtra also sells a line of switches and switch plates imported from Europe.
I'm drawing a blank on the name but when I find it I'll post it here.

Re: Manufacturer of cabin light switches?

Sailmonkey, yes you did. Vimar was the name I was trying to remember and I didn't recognize that Eikon was a Vimar product.
