Lock cylinder on slider is loose

I am getting a bit worried as the lock cylinder that accepts the key on the exterior of the sliding door is able to move in and out of the hole quite a bit. (not twisting in the hole, but in and out direction) Can't see how this is tightened. Will post a picture if necessary.

Lock works, but worried I will get locked out one day, and think it should not be this loose. On the back side of the door is the black interior plastic locking mechanism. My thoughts were to take this apart, but don't quite know what to expect and was hoping someone here has done this task and can provide guidance. thanks.

Re: Lock cylinder on slider is loose

Our 380 is MY 2008. We have a normal household lock cylinder (I just replace it as the original one started to make trouble). This i is held in place by a screw that goes in from the side. If this screw is missing you can move the cylinder a bit back and forth.
Once the screw is removed you can insert the Key and turn it a little into the opening (or closing??) direction and you can easily slide the cylinder out for replacement.

However your description of a black mechanism right behind the cylinder sounds different from what we have, our black mechanism is 30cm above the cylinder..
