General Info: Lagoon yahoo user group closed?

I have seen no updates in yahoo lagoon user group last month which is my primary source of information. One can't create post. Does it mean it is now closed or another internet marketing trick?

Is there any extract of all yahoo posts as there is nearly every issue covered by very knowledgeable people.

Got an email from the group saying that the founder of the group was moving this to groups.io and trying to move all the info. it is started there, you can search for it.

Here is his message.

"It appears that Yahoo groups is no longer being supported or even functioning properly.
We have had no posts on our Yahoo Group in several weeks.
We still have 2500 members, but no functioning group.

Your will soon be receiving an invitation from a new Lagoon Cat Owners Group on groups.io.
Many Yahoo Groups have transferred their operation to groups.io successfully.
I am hopeful that all our posts, photos and files will be transferred to groups.io.

All Lagoon Cat Owners members will then receive an automatic invitation to join the new site on groups.io.

Please respond to the invitation and let's get the group functioning again on groups.io.

Sorry for these problems.
Let's work together and get the group re-established on groups.io.

Sorry that it took so long to realize that we were out of business on Yahoo Groups. This has happened to some Yahoo Groups while others continue to function. Yahoo has abandoned the Groups website and does not support it. So there was no alternative except to move away from them. Groups.io made the transfer relatively easy.

Never heard of Usenet, and who can carry on a conversation about boats in 140 characters?

I seriously thought that yahoo groups had become defunct a long time ago. I used to use them extensively for everything from horses, to farming, to hobbies etc, but with the age and Facebook and the previous fails of yahoo, I seriously thought they had mostly been retired.
