Lagoon models SA/D

Put together a quick spreadsheet, here is an image shot of SA/D in meters and sq ft. People may find it helpful. Numbers taken from the website.

for latest lagoons, screecher is pretty much essential, as boats designed that way. Should not that be included in your calcs ?

With screecher my L400 has 132m2 sail area vs 84 m2 white sails only. Screecher good for 18 AVS if not beating.

it's just a reference for SA/D to show relative ratios. Screecher for all isn't going to change things. It compares apples to apples to apples for all models.

Be my guest to take the numbers and add in screecher, gennaker/ code 0s for all.

your numbers are incorrect for L400. Sail area is actually 96m2. I know because I have measured original sail area. Replacing sails and getting square top!

Re: Lagoon models SA/D

Owner's manual for L400 has furling genoa at 28 sq m, but Incidence have L400 S2 furling genoa at 35 sq m. When I asked Incidence what has changed with L400 S2, Incidence stated they have always made 35 sq m furling genoa for ALL L400. They said owner's manual is wrong.

So I wonder how heavy our L400's are compared to owner's manual Light displacement of 10350kgs ......... mine was close to 15000kgs at last haul out.... will have to tally water, fuel, dinghy, solar & grog cabinet to see how close

Re: Lagoon models SA/D

I took all numbers from the website. If the website is wrong, can't help that.

Water and fuel at 100 Gallons is say 800lbs. Dinghy and motor from 150 to 400. My solar panels and mounts are like 150lbs max. Call me for the party, you must be loaded up on the grog ;-)!
