Lagoon 450 some info needed

Hi Guys
Just took delivery of a new to me L450 2013, have a couple of questions.

a: The electrical control panel has a MasterView Multifuncional Touch screen remote panel. It displays some english and some other language that is all mostly unintelagable also writing is upside down although the display is mounted the correct way up. Will try disconnecting and re connecting to see if this has any effect, appears to be connected to a large shunt in battery storage area under Stbd aft bunk. Any ideas gratefully received.

b: Boat is not equipped with Bow sprit for Spinnaker, any body fitted an after market one or some good pictures and measurements of the OEM one would be of help.

Here are some photos of the factory installation on our L450.

The sprit is 32" long including the part connected to the beam attachment.

We have a rope supporting the sprit when the Gennaker is not rigged as can be seen in the photos. (Ignore the black mooring lines in the photo)

Just a couple of thoughts. Best not to tie the bowsprit on with a rope rather than a bungee. If the gennaker goes under the yacht the bowsprit may pull down and damage the aluminum support.

Add a block and clutch so that you do not have to reach far over to clip on the gennaker (credit to Roetter for the idea)

Good point on using line to support the sprit. We remove this when installing the Gennaker which we use with a furler.

I like the block and clutch idea. I guess this wouldn't work with the furler?

Hi Catopia,

Yep, intended for the furler. Here is a better shot:

if the mastervolt panel is the masterview easy, it can be reset by plugging a cable into the shunt, but the cable costs $120 or so from mastervolt. You can also reset it from the panel using the attached method.

Finally got Bow Sprite completed ended up with a combination of your ideas, so far so good I brought the Blue Line back to a clutch mounted next to Anchor Windlass.
