Lagoon 450 - SD60 sail drive

I checked out our new 450 last week in France. All is well, but the engines have a lot of vibration in idle. Apparently, the same occurs on the Jeanneaus. Yanmar is trying to find out what they have to do. I guess harder or softer engine and/or sail drive mounts.

I hope they have fixed some of the other problems in the SD40/50 as well as the clutch problem with the SD60.

Bill,
What clutch problems are Yanmar having with the new SD60s?
Cheers,
Mac

Re: Lagoon 450 - SD60 sail drive

Sorry for the poor wording. They have addressed the SD40/50 clutch problems with the SD60. Lets hope they have solved them and not just given the owners another maintenance headache. I hope they have addressed some of the other sd40/50 problems such as soft shaft metal, as well as the clutch problems. I don't know of any clutch problems with the SD60 at this time. Only time will tell if they have given us dependable clutches with the SD60 or just given us a new set of problems. Given their track record, I'm not going to hold my breath.
