Lagoon 450 owners version shower

Can anyone advise how to access the shower controls in the owners version? I need to change the shower hose and I cannot for the life of me see how to get to it.

Open the hatch on the bulkhead wall in the shower, put your head through and on your right hand side ( of the bulkhead) you will see a small white inspection port.
Open that and you will be in business

But that is the problem. Inside the shower (I.e. Once you stand inside) there is no hatch. It is a solid mould of fibreglass

Or do you mean by going down through the forward hatch and then through bulkhead? I have no hatch there either.

Nick if you have no hatch on the forward shower wall ( bulkhead) then the other option is to access the location from your starboard forward storage compartment. We have a varnished false floor with a opening hatch that you will open and lower yourself down. Once in there the small white inspection port will be visible on the bulkhead-once this is opened you will be able to access the shower hose fitting.
It is 2330 here so if you have no luck I will post a photo tommorrow

If you can manage I would love a photograph simply because I do not have an inspection hatch down there. There is provision for one in that the plywood is marked, but not fitted.

Re: Lagoon 450 owners version shower

Well I had to use yoga position 55 to get some of the photos but hope this helps
The top two and bottom left were taken in portrait mode so you will need to rotate to the right to view correctly.
The hatch photo was taken from underneath the false floor looking up.
As you can see they have just cut out the area marked in your boat, put a support ply panel beneath and installed the push button latch one side and a couple of small stainless brackets the other side -job done

That is incredibly kind. Thank you so much.
With hull 48 the area under the false floor in the forward locker is supposedly watertight, with no access through to the area behind shower bulkhead. I suspect, with later models, they may have installed the inspection hole as you show. The only answer is to get it fitted.

HULL 460 has the access described by riv33. Sounds like earlier Hull numbers did not have it.

Re: Lagoon 450 owners version shower

We are a 2011 Lagoon, access is to go into the forward storage, there is a pop up button latch securing a rectangular cutout in the floor. Pop that up and underneath that is another lower storage area and a white circular screw in inspection hatch in the bulkhead as shown in previous photos.

Hi to PaulinOz

The hatch you refer to is the bulkhead between the shower and the S/S forward storage compartment

Re: Lagoon 450 owners version shower

Indeed, not all 450's have the bulkhead access door. Ours does not. To replace the faulty switch I cut a 40mm dia hole around the existing switch, removed it, and made a plastic cover for which the new switch is connected and mounted. Easy access for next time.Click image for larger version
