Hi, and welcome to the forum. I'm not sure there are many owners yet. I've chartered the L440 many times, and I can say that the L450 is now my dream boat.

This is the thread on the L450 Lagoon 450

Did you Google "Review Lagoon 450"?

There are a number of reviews there. For instance, this reviewer says that, "At 35,000 lbs, it is no flyweight, yet this also lends it a sense of inertia and the load-carrying ability for long passages." and "Second, the feel of the boat is reassuring. While all catamarans have problems with swells slamming the underside of the bridgedeck, a long, deep v-shape of the Lagoon 450 should help to cut down the ‘hard landing." and "Sailing performance in our light air was satisfactory. The boat has a nicely reassuring sense of comfort and inertia in the light airs; you had the feeling that it would be happier romping in 4 to 6 foot swells and 15 to 20 knot trade wind breezes."

Re: Lagoon 450

Catamarans.com is just in the process of adding a 445 to their BVI charter fleet. Only available for March - April timeframe. Time to look at my bank account balance

We will be sailing a new 2012 Lagoon 450 from Tenerife to Tortola in November. I am looking forward to seeing how she sails. Sail plan includes square top main, genoa, gennaker and spinnaker. She will also be available for Captained Charter after arrival. Detailed specs and photo can be seen at Yolocharters.com

Re: Lagoon 450

We have just purchased the Lagoon 450 in Australia - so far we have taken it out twice in Sydney Harbour. First time it was gusty and she flew along beautifully. Whereas yesterday we were in very light (almost no) wind - and she managed to sail - albeit a bit slow. We managed to out run a few mono's which impressed me.

I just love her - sitting on the helm is wonderful. At the moment, they are still fitting her out and we should have full time in early August after the Sydney Boat show.

Congratulations! What's your hull number? Was she shipped to Australia or sailed? I assume shipped as she is still being fitted out.

Re: Lagoon 450

She is hull #40 and she was shipped out to Australia. She was on display at the Sydney Boat Show and we take full possession of her next week.
