That's what I intend to do, I will cruise a year or two in the Med with the original set up in place and will do some upgrades during or after the next season to prepare it for water sailing">blue water sailing.

Mainly it will be the energy part (solar, lithium batteries, inverter) and communications (GSM/LTE range extender / repeater, SSB tranceiver with Pactor modem, Sat-Phone, EPIRB, NavTex, board pc at the nav station).

I think, the ability to communicate, access the Internet and get weather at any location is the most crucial thing.
