Rgds.
Wow. I just priced one out with a minimum of what I would order and it came out to just under $400k.

I like it. I'm more interested in sailing reviews with the new design.

I am concerned about the price list as the 39 seems to nickel and dime options that are not on the 400S2 price list. After pricing both out with a minimum of preferred options the 400S2 was slightly less than $20k higher. I'll have to talk to a dealer.

Re: Lagoon 39

Hello Everybody I'm just out of the Paris Boat Show and naturally the first thing I did where to go for visiting the new Lagoon, in fact I went to Paris only for the 39 ! So here is my first insight.

Now I have see him for real and the only think I can say is... wow, amazing, This cat is so coherent the architects did so much ! How did they manage to put so many goodies and so much new technology in such a small place ! I just put my feet in and feel right at home ! I planed to purchase a 380 current 2013, but it will have to wait a bit, I will save some more for the end of the year so I can go for the 39. (If the sailing test prove to be efficient).

Second think : This cat is definitively NOT a sort of upgraded, or new version of the 380. This cat. is a brain new boat, totally different from the 380 and cannot be compare to him. The Lagoon staff have assure me they are still continue the production of the 380 and do not intend to end it.

Third : the cat is huge ! you cannot believe de space you have in the hulls, it look like you are in a small apartment there, the pict may not give you the real feeling of it but I can assure you... it is very spacious !

And four ! I definitively like it a lot ! So convenient ! So practical, so well born !

Well, now... time for the pict... here they are. Let me know wath is you feeling but do not make you-self to much a definitive opinion with those picts, they are not giving a good idea, in reality the 39 is much bigger than it look on the pict...

So enjoy.... (more Picts day after-tomorrow as I have a long road to go back home)...

Re: Lagoon 39

Good to see the front safety lines are back But the anchoring system is not good with the very narrow trough for the chain, chain will violently shake as it's deployed and chip the gel-coat on the inside faces of the trough.

Anchor chain locking device lasts about 4 uses then bends and fails. They should have deleted that rubbish item.

Bow roller is suitable for a day sailer, the chain will jump off and gouge the fore-beam.

Mouldings look nice, smooth etc.

Interior is IKEA in design with sharp corners and photo finish veneers.

Layout is good.

Galley is spoilt by the door where i guess the micro-wave may install, the door sweeps the bench in front and in use is a pain in the arse.

Winches appear to be lightweight pressed metal stripper style.....Ok maybe for owner operator but not for charter.

Wonder how much rain etc will enter the cockpit via the helm position?

Looking forward to seeing polars.

Good photo's!!!!! Good work..

Re: Lagoon 39

Great Photo's, Thanks for sharing. I agree with most of the comments. I wonder why Lagoon doesn't try to round some of those corners, it must cost more than it seems. It seems most of their design decisions are driven by cost.

I am also amused/confused by the location of the gauges (RPM I assume) under the wheel by the feet of the helm position. Really That's the best spot they could find.

I also noticed they had the beds laid out fore and aft for the owner. Did you notice where the generator is supposed to be installed? Was the access to the engine as tight as it looked?

Overall I like the layout and I am looking forward to seeing performance data.
