General Info: Lagoon 37 Internal halyards

Hi,

Are the internal halyards of the Lagoon 37 passed through respective internal tubing within the mast. I don't see any indication on the outside of the mast of internal tubing, so my guess is that they pass freely from entry to exit. Can anyone confirm this assumption? Thanks.

I can't confirm that, but I have never seen halyards run in conduits before, and can imagine all sorts of problems if they did. Usually, wires are run through conduits and halyards are run free.

If you are replacing, just connect the new to old and they will pull through the same way.

Thanks, I thought that was the case and maybe it was a wire-rope halyard where I'd seen it before. Unfortunately, the spinnaker (?) halyard was accidentally pulled through before I acquired the boat, so I'll have to send a messenger line (attached to the halyard) down from the top of the mast and catch it at the bottom. I assume this is the easiest approach.

I can confirm, electrical wires pass trough a plastic tube , halyards run freely inside of the mast , from the top sheaves to the slots at the deck level , no tubing for halyards....

It is certainly easier than pushing it up from the bottom!
