Fuel tank size

Hello all,
I am confused. I have just gone through the Lagoon 410 manual for our sail dimensions when I came across conflicting details on the size of our fuel tanks. One section states that our tanks are 400 Litres and the other one states they are 100 litre tanks.
I suspect that the 400 litre tanks are an extra for long distance cruisers but there is nothing to confirm this. Can anyone enlighten me on what is the correct size. Our cat is a 2004 410 S2 ex charter boat.

Re: Fuel tank size

If it is an ex-charter, I doubt it has the larger tanks. Have you ever filled up your tank with fuel completely? Does the tank have an inspection port? The data on sailboatdata.com says it has a 200 liter fuel tank.

Re: Fuel tank size

Thanks for the reply Dabs,
Initially on the data sheets from the seller it said it had 100 Lt tanks so we used to fill based on the hours used. We use 2 litres and hour on our 40HP Yanmars and always always left a fudge factor of 20%. There is no inspection hatch unfortunately. Next time I am on the boat I will see if I can measure the length of the tank. I can access the width and the height but trying to measure the length is a contortionist feat .
