450: Freezer and washing machine alternate options

Has anyone built a good freezer into a L450?

The factory freezer that my friend has on his 450 is into the forth door now. The wood in the cabinet is starting to rot from the constant moisture. What a waste of energy. This after about 15 months.
The ice box in the cockpit seems like a good candidate. The icebox itself is a little too small for our purposes. Does anyone know if there is more space around it to put in a larger box with adequate insulation, then rig it to a keel cooler.

Washer
Has anybody installed a compact washing machine in the cockpit cupboards? That would create a wonderful space for a freezer with drawers in the usual location for the washing machine.

There is someone here with a 440 that put a washer in the cockpit cabinet. But, he had to redo the cabinet (custom) to fit it... Run a search in this forum section and it might turn up.
