Euro Price list for 42

Would anyone be able to post up the pricelist for the 42 in EUROS. I think we are getting raped in the US. The $ is very strong.

FP allows you to purchase in Euros, Lagoon does not unless you want a 450 or more AFAIK.

If no price list, could someone just give the price of the baseboat and some options.

Thanks.

Re: Euro Price list for 42

So, then what? do you purchase from a European Dealer? If taking delivery in La Rochelle and sailing 2 years in the Med it seems like that would be the way to go. Closer to the dealer and factory for warranty work then cross to the Caribe?

When viewing the lagoons at the the Miami Boat they steered you to the salesman at the dealers in your current residence. Are all US dollar denominated price lists the same for each dealer? Are customers successful in negotiating discounts ect.?

Nice Boat, on my list too

170 plus of the 42's sold in first 6 months, current wait list is well into 2018. Good luck on getting much of a discount.

Re: Euro Price list for 42

If I use the boat in the US, then I would want to purchase from a US dealer. However, I am looking at putting this in charter in the carib.

Just wouldn't be happy that Lagoon is pricing at 1.15 when currently at 1.05. This means either the dealer or Lagoon is making 10% more on US sales. Pretty sure it isn't the dealer, and on roughly 500k OTD, this is 50k. If you want a 52, you can purchase that in Euros. But not a 450, 42, 400, 39, or 380?

Like said above, the 42 is selling like hotcakes, so not sure it is really negotiable anyway. But the FP Lucia 40 is also very nice. Smaller, so not exactly apples to apples, but if the price isn't jacked up 10% more, this boat might be coming in close to 100k lower than a 42. Pretty big difference!

The FP Lucia 40 is sold out deep into 2018 also, so not much wiggle room on that price either.

Agree. Just that if lagoon is still at 1.15, the lucia is 10% less on exchange rate alone. 40 to 50k would purchase a generator, AC, genaker, to start with...

Re: Euro Price list for 42

Sure, Euro in St. Martin if your delivering and cruising Carib, How about if your US citizen wanting Factory delivery and want to spend 1-2 seasons in the Med?

Also different US price lists for each regional dealer?

I'm sure there are not any discounts on such a successful boat, but on the dealer options and outfitting?

Thanks
Kent

Re: Euro Price list for 42

US list price is the same across the US. Very few dealer options, pretty much all factory options. Wasn't asking about discounting, the boat is backlogged and if you don't want to pay the price, then someone else will.

If keeping the boat in the US, then buy and get service from a US dealer.

But that was not my issue. My concern was the arbitrage by Lagoon.

Re: Euro Price list for 42

Confirmed. US list is about 10% higher than Euro list. Prices in USD have the Euro at about 1.15. It has been at 1.06 for the past 6+ months.
