410: Dingy to Heavy For My Davits

I am in looking to fit my 13 foot dingy with a 40hp 600 lb at the back of my lagoon 410 or on deck
anybody got ideas with budget max 10 to 15k or less

option found: TENDERLIFT hydraulic platform over 30,000$ to expensive
change the dingy not a option...

Here's what i would do with 10K: i'd get a pencil and paper, design a davits or other solution, buy materials online and put them together in my workshop. I would then take the remaining 8K and spend it in a stripclub.

Stainless steel fabricator could do the same design as your current davits but in heavier SS tube.

Or is it you pulling it up? Electric winch

so you thing that I can simply remove the existing davits and go for heavier materiel and the rest of the boat will be good for the extra weight?

I wouldn't assume that. The L410 davit design is a cantilever that relies on the mounting point strength - I think the arms themselves are pretty robust (3" schedule 40 SS pipe?). 600lbs is a LOT of weight for this type of design. You will need to make sure that the attachment point can take the load - and that means a dynamic load, which will be 3X the static load. A better design is an arch that is in compression on a beefed up mounting spot.

I would have to agree with colemj especially on the mounting. Most davits seem to have a inadequate footprint and, or an inadequately reinforced deck.

It just what we need to go from water activity fishing diving ..... And yes the problem to have a stering a front locker a real seat 4 stroke engine.. full with gas anchor etc... 600lb that is a problem that Came with it.
