450: Cabin Ceiling Panel Removal 450

I am trying to access the Spinnaker winch mounts on a 450S, these are behind the ceiling panel in the aft cabins. Before I apply too much force, has anyone removed these panels successfully?

Yes - remove the edging above the cabins entryway. Then, starting from outside panel, pull down and release the velcro holding up the edge. You can remove that panel and it will expose the fastening screws of the next panel. remove the screws, remove the panel, and it exposed the fastening screws of the next panel. Repeat until you get to the winch.

I use automobile body panel removal tools to grab the edge of the first panel and an electric screwdriver to remove all the screws.

I am 95% sure that you start at the outer panel. Its been a while since I did this. If not, the inner panel. Can someone recall?.

Also, do a search in these forums. Panel removal has been demonstrated.

Yes, the outboard panel needs to be removed first.
