I see above there was a link already to our blog already. Congratulations on your new vessel, I hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as we do.
I will add this regarding washing machines, we have 2 small
children so our washing requirements are probably a lot more than just a couple cruising. Anyhow the 3 kg machine which was the cupboard was designed for to go in was not big enough for us.
So we cut the cupboard out, with the assistance of a good shipwright,we have kept the cupboard doors etc which will come in handy for another
project I am working on, and we installed a Simpson EZI 7 kg machine which is nearly half the usual
depth of standard machines. This machine we brought at a third of the
price of the 3kg machine, it has a
water sensor so it goes easy on the
water, and a spin cycle which has the clothes nearly dry by the time its finished. We have found we do not have as much washing when out cruising, but if needed I can run it on our Yamaha portable
generator.
I believe the S2 model has re-positioned the
electrical switchboard to the area where we put the washing machine, so I would suggest removing a few access
panels and see what space is available.
If you only require 3 kg machine then maybe search some caravan or RV sites.
Anyway better go hang out the washing.
