380 or 410 advice pls
Hi Guys and Gals
An easy question for those of you who own Lagoons.
I am planning on getting a used one this spring either a 380 or 410.
If I'm lucky I'll gat an owners model fully kitted out for the solo liveaboard sailor but as my budget is $200k I doubt it, however.
With regard to solo sailing I would like to have electric winches if possible and wondered if it was easy to retro fit them or it, is there any way to access the spot under the headliner where the business end would go, without ripping everything out ?
Next question if I may, are there any self tacking rigs possible, can't say I've ever seen one just wondering.
There is none locally to have a peek at so please excuse the very basic questions.

On our 380 the only time when an electric winch comes in handy is for the main & genoa halyards & when winching the stern of the RIB with outboard attached on the davits. Occasionally use it for furling the genoa.
However, we use a rechargeable Winchrite on our manual winches. Works a charm, saves $thousands, is weatherproof & you can move it from winch to winch, boat to boat.

What a fantastic gadget, thanks.
How long have you had one ?
Does it hold a charge for a decent period of time ?

Re: 380 or 410 advice pls
I have a 2007 owner's version 380 and you can access the wenchs through the nav station's electrical panel. I bought mine used and it already had an electric wench at the helm. All lines lead to the helm so I can tack (jibe) from there without leaving my station. It's nice to have some help though for anchoring, picking up a mooring ball or tossing a dock line.

I'm guess there would be enough room to fit a winch motor in there as it's a factory option. Thanks.
The helm position is what I find so attractive about the L380 for solo sailing. At least the theory is good compared to others I've seen especially as I'm less agile than I was.
Must get me one of those "electric wenches"

We've had ours for close to 2 years now. Comes with both a 12V DC & a unversal AC Charger. Never had it run flat in a day of sailing ... then just plug it in to 12 volt socket. It allows the Admiral to easily winch me up the mast.

Capt. Ludd. There is an owners version 380 for sale in Washington state. Well kitted out as the owners just returned from Alaska. Bit out of the way based on your location but worth a look I would say. Try a Google search.
ps I have electric mains and love them. makes sailing really easy

Very nice boat, not sure about the blue kitchen tops though.
A little more than my budget unfortunately but thanks for the heads up.

Pretty nice.
Don't think it will last too long with the recent upgrades.
