Weekend and Week Long Sailing in New England

I'm an experienced coastal sailor looking for crew for weekends and the occasional longer sail. The boat is a 46' ketch based in Wickford, RI. It's very well equipped and quite comfortable for 2-3 people. There are often two guys on board and it would be really handy to have a 3rd, especially when we have all our canvas up. This is an ideal opportunity for a younger guy who wants some sailing experience to learn in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. If you're interested in learning more, drop me a note here.

Re: Weekend and Week Long Sailing in New England

Hi, I'd be interested in talking with you more. I have a fair amount of experience ranging from a Force 5 up to a Beneteau 345 that I owned in San Francisco. However, its been a few years since I've been out on the water due to kids which are now off to college. I don't have any offshore experience but want to learn. If your interested in a willing student let me know. I live in Southern NH.
Thanks Michael

Re: Weekend and Week Long Sailing in New England

I'm definitely interested. I'm a 27-year-old guy, self-employed in IT, living in Providence. I'm looking to purchase my own sailboat (albeit much smaller than 46', probably somewhere in the 28-32' range) somewhere around September, so I would love to get as much on-the-water experience as possible before then.

Re: Weekend and Week Long Sailing in New England

Hi there,

My name is James, and I am quite interested. The instant I saw New England, I was hooked! It is the region that made me want to take up sailing. I've been sailing for only one year, but passed top of my ASA certification class, and have certifications 101, 103, and have still to take my test for 104.
I am a very easy going thirty-three year old guy, and like to make sure not only fun is had, but agreeable company.
Please drop me a line and we can talk more; this sounds like just what I'd be looking for in getting experience in the area in which I'm most interested.

Cheers,
James
