Crew Available: Volunteer for Pacific Crossing

I'm a male 23 year old electrical engineering graduate hoping to sail to Australia or NZ. The preferable departure time would be April or early May 2014. I have basic sailing experience but a keen technical mind and willingness to help with anything. Cooking is a passion of mine and I've a good pair of sea legs from spending countless days fishing in deep water. I'd be happy to make a contribution to food and running costs.
California would be most convenient departure point but I'm prepared to meet someone anywhere as far south as Panama.
Two months is my maximum journey time and I'm open to any route on offer.
