Traveling from St.Lucia - > North

Hey, I'm obviously new and perhaps naive to think that I can find someone sailing from St.Lucia towards Puerto Rico, St.Maarteen or Miami the week of 17th-24th of August, 2014.

What are the chances of catching a ride with somone (for $ obv), or catching a Cargo ship heading north?

Is it at all realistic (esp during the hurricane season) or should I give up on this dream and just buy a flight? lol

Any response would be appreciated.

It's not impossible with a little luck. Keep digging, but be prepared to buy a flight just in case. There are also other websites with forums. Try sailnet.com also.
