Trans-Atlantic

We have a Nauticat 52 to deliver from St Maarten to the Mediterranean. Excellent skipper on board, together with one crew. Another two would be good. Work almost completed now, so gearing up for departure. Any questions: mat (at) direct-yachts.com

25 yr old male with almost as much time at the tiller. Certified sailing instructer. Extensive racing, cruising, and rowing experience. Longest time at sea: 9 days, solo. I've also done yacht deliveries in Fl. Currently living in Limbo (figuratively speaking) in the Fl panhandle. I can pay for my own airfare and food

Hi Matt. I may be a bit overqualified for this but if you need some more experience I would be happy to assist. Roger.

Re: Trans-Atlantic

Hello

I received your voicemail, and I attempted to return your call, but couldn't get through. I am still certainly interested in the trans-atlantic crossing. When do you intend to depart St Maarten?

I'll keep my phone much closer now.

Thanks
Max

Re: Trans-Atlantic

I'm interested and available. I have no trans-Atlantic experience, mostly west coast sailing on Morgan 45, Catalina 37 and Columbia 27. Have only completed ASA 104, frankly have not bothered further with certs. I'm an architect, happily married, father of four grown kids, real estate developer, chemical company owner. I'm a healthy, young 63 and 6'-2". I've done a lot of boat maintenance so I might be helpful that way and I'm willing to do whatever is necessary to build my off-shore resume.

Re: Trans-Atlantic

I would be interested if still in need of crew. I am a 100t captain with 3 1/2 Atlantic crossings plus many nautical miles. Please feel free to review my experience at captainpatty.com

Re: Trans-Atlantic

Just curious, and not being disrepectful, but how does one accomplish a 1/2 Atlantic crossing??

Re: Trans-Atlantic

Mat,

I'm available for up to three months after Christmas to crew from St. Maarten to Med. Can you tell me a little more about the boat: age, rigging, ocean prepared?

I sail out of San Diego: Morgan 45, Catalina 37, Columbia 27 but I have very little ocean experience, looking to build my resume so that I can purchase a newer Morgan Catalina 45 and ocean sale with my wife. I'm an architect, developer, chemical company owner with sailing experience on the Chesapeake Bay and West Coast.

I too would be interested in hearing more of your plans.

54y/o retired firefighter/paramedic, experienced crew with four trans-Atlantic crossings. Have my own gear, stand my own watches.
Have current passport, CV, and extensive references.

Cliff

Re: Trans-Atlantic

DYD,

Are you out there somewhere near a computer keyboard? Could you respond regarding your Trans-Atlantic plans and crew needs? Your earliest response to my two previous is much appreciated.

Re: Trans-Atlantic

Have you found the crew you need yet?

If not, what timescale did you have in mind? I am free March and most of April.

I am a youthful 53, about 4000nm experience mainly around the Channel, and the Med.

Let me know if you're still looking for crew.
