St. Augustine, FL to Ft. Meyers

I am about to take delivery of my new (to me) boat, a Hunter 37.5 in St. Augustine, FL. I am looking for crew to assist in bringing it over to Ft. Meyers. I am 66 yrs young, have passed ASA101, 103, and 104. Been sailing for many years on the Great Lakes. I plan to leave around 7/12-13, and have to get back home by the 23rd. Not sure we'll make Ft. Meyers by then, but could fly back and resume the trip by July 27th if needed. I'll cover all food and boat needs at sea. On shore is your responsibility. Can not cover transportation.

Hey Jon -- I'm interested in the crew position, I've taken those same ASA courses and have also made a number of blue water passages. PM me your contact info if you would. Will you be making overnight passages or are you planning to daysail around?

Regards,

John

Re: St. Augustine, FL to Ft. Meyers

I am a retired Naval Officer and former owner of a Hunter 31. I skippered my boat on two summer cruises in Penobscot Bay and sailed her from Maine to Charleston SC as well as numerous day and weekend trips. I am 62 and also semi retired. I am a capable sailor and understand navigation, rules of the road, etc. If you have open positions available, perhaps I could be available in your time frame to assist you on your trip.
