I'm not looking for crew in the real sense, since I'm not offering payment or even
offshore experience. I have a 32'
Ericson sloop that I'll be sailing from Kingston, NY, (up the
Hudson River) to Block Island (ideally I'll get that far,
weather permitting, etc., etc.). I'd be looking for one or two people who'd just like to go where the
wind, tides and currents might take us for about ten days.
My plan is to depart early Friday, Sept. 10, and to be back in Kingston no later than the 21st. You'd be responsible for your own transportation,
food, etc., but I would handle all expenses related to the
boat.
Ideally, I'd like someone experienced with sailing and
navigation, but would be happy with a capable, willing, reasonable
newbie. You could sail all or part of the trip. Whatever makes sense for you. Nonsmokers only, please, and you'd have to promise not to step on my dog... and not to say "uh oh" unless you really mean it.
Oh... one more prohibition.... sorry, my wife won't allow me to take a
single lady along. I guess she doesn't trust me.
