Hello Goomba, We are leaving the port of Chioggia in mid-June 2011, traveling to
Croatia, the Southern coast of
Italy, the Eolian Islands, the Southern tip of Sardegnia, the Balearica Islands (August), then heading onto the Canary Islands waiting for the "open window" for the
Atlantic crossing.
The
boat is an Amel Maramu ocean prepared. We have mostly Italians on board with the exception of my wife (the lady who gives the orders) who is American. We all chew a bit of
English.
We are looking for members of the crew who can pay their own way, who can give a hand when needed and who are patient with the multilingual and aged group.
I usually follow the orders of my wife, ha ha ha, but in the heat of the moment tend to forget
English. My wife says that my written in English is high
school level and that my spoken English is still Elementrie.
We sail slow, like to stop when a particular bay looks promising. The only condition is to be in the
Canaries by the 20th of November.
Good Sailing Stefano
