Sailing into Morro Bay around June 7

Greetings! Am crewing on a 60' cutter delivery from Hawaii to Morrow Bay, arriving around June 7. Then will be looking to crew to get home up the coast to Santa Cruz.
Also open to longer cruises and ocean passages, after June 7 or so. Mature, reliable San Francisco native. Local references. ASA 101,103,104. Let's talk! Send me a PM and I can send you my phone number(s) and / or email address.

Welcome to Cruising Forum.

If you can't arrange anything beforehand, stick your head in at Morro Bay Yacht Club. Friendly place where a lot of boats in transit stop. A lot of boats use Morro Bay (note the spelling) as a jumping off point for the overnight bash to Monterey, and my guess is that 90% of them plan to motorsail that stretch.

If you're still unable to find a crew spot, Amtrack runs from San Luis Obispo to Salinas. Trip takes about 3 hours.

Morro Bay Yacht Club's dock is where we will be tying up when we make landfall. Maybe Ian could luck out and step of this boat and on to another! After 3 weeks, give or take, he may just want to walk home! :-)

Thank you guys for info...

Yeah...after three weeks, maybe stay a few nights at Hearst Castle.

Joking aside, there is a possibility that a break from the sea might be called for. I've even heard of people getting motion sickness upon landfall, after long periods at sea.

I guess it all depends on what kind of a passage it becomes.

Time will tell.
