Sailing Friends

Looking for someone to help sail my sailboat in the Chesapeake Bay area. I have a Hunter 34 which I sail out of the Baltimore harbor. My former crew (son) has moved down to the Norfolk area. Single handing is fun but it is to much like work.

I am semi retired so I go out at almost any time.

If you are interested or have any questions give me a shout. You can reply back to this post or send me an email at rwert23@comcast.net.

Looking forward to going out with someone (you bring the coldies)

Bob E.

Hi Bob!

This kind of thing drives me nuts!!!!!!

There are a bunch of people on this forum who are always looking for sailing time. It always turns out the nice guys with boats - like you - and the people wanting to sail, are in different places.

I sure hope you find someone to go sailing with.

I would definitely bring the coldies if I was within 200 miles or so!

Hi Bob,

I'm with Dan - if I were closer, I'd join you often. I get to DC occasionally. If I have time, I'll look you up!!

No Takers

Ron/Dan
Still do not have any takers. Could be because of the time of year. July and August on the Bay is hot, muggy and the wind is usually non existent. Usually end up motoring late morning through late afternoon. Early morning and early evenings there is usually a bit of a breeze.

Still can be fun since I usually do not have a destination in mind and I go with the wind.

Ron I actually live in the DC area in Arlington, VA close to the Pentagon. Next time you are in town give me a shout. I keep Blackhorse at Baltimore because the slips are reasonably priced and still close to the city life (I can get a water taxi from my slip to Camden yards to catch an Orioles game).

Speaking of sailing buddies... My wife and I would be happy to go out sailing with anyone in the SF Bay Area who needs an extra hand.

Speaking of sailing buddies - I will be in LA again this weekend and will likely sail one day (Saturday or Sunday) - We sail a Catalina 27 out of Marina Del Ray.

My brother is bringing a work mate and so we should ahve a couple of slots open on the baot if any member is interested...
