S.E. Asia, and Taiwan, Yap, Palau, aboard Big Trimaran

Well the boat is ready, I am ready, but where are you?

Have you ever heard the children's story about The Little Red Hen?

You know the one.

"Who will help me plant the seeds?"

Every step of the way the Little Red Hen did all the work and investing to get the point of getting the bread made. Suddenly, everyone had time to eat the bread.

Well I kind of feel that way. I spent years getting my boat to this point and it is finally ready for cruising the world.

However, I am not interested to cruise with people that are here to just eat the bread I baked. (I do bake bread aboard by the way.)

Instead, I am interested in sailors that can make a difference to the trip and overall experience.

Long term sailors please.

I am currently in the Philippines and will stay here to Spring 2014 and then head on a circle to Taiwan, Yap, Palau, and back to Philippines. Then it is onward to Thailand.

I have tons of pictures and more details on-line at facebook.

Please most questions are answered on facebook, including fact I sail with about 8 different types of sailors. Some are paid to come along, some are 100% free, some help contribute.

Overall I like keeping boat to no more than 8 people. Our general moto is:

If you can find it referenced in a guidebook or if there is someone already there, then we are not stopping.

Main hobbies for me while aboard are searching for early signs of man before last ice age, SCUBA, and trying to get locals to go back to more traditional foods.

Re: S.E. Asia, and Taiwan, Yap, Palau, aboard Big Trimaran

Hello Philip,

Currently living in Cambodia, but looking forward to be back on the move, I'm looking for a serious boat to sail on.

I'm a 36 years old french man, speaking fluent english and spanish (3 years living in Peru and Ecuador), and traveling continuously for the last 7 years.

Back in my country, I was a cinema technician, for over 10 years, a very demanding working field where efficiency is not only a must, but a minimum requirement. I'm a quick learner and hard worker.

My personal sailing experience is not massive, 4 months on a 72' ketch, of which 3 out at sea, from Boston USA to Margarita Island Venezuela, going through the Carribeans, with a strange gypsea couple. The old icelandic captain was a great teacher, mainly working oldschool style with paper maps and very few electronic devices.

You might already have all your crew, but I was wondering if you were interested in keeping in touch for any future availability. To be completely honest, I'm looking for heading to the Cook Islands, where I'd like to see a tattooist to finish an ink started 6 years ago, but that should actually not be a valid point.

Looking forward to hear from you,

Denoel

Re: S.E. Asia, and Taiwan, Yap, Palau, aboard Big Trimaran

Philip -
I'm Canadian, with an American wife, and roots in the Dominican Republic, China, the middle east and Malaysia. I lived aboard a Sparkman-Stephens designed sloop for 7 years and sailed her 16,000 miles offshore.

Presently, I'm sailing solo. I'm a quick study, and was sail fleet captain of a yacht club for two years.

Interested?
