Crew Available: Racer Wants to Become Cruiser

I am a semi-experienced sailor seeking to become more so.
I have raced (mostly smaller boats like the J/80, J/105, J/92s) and did some bay cruising in the Chesapeake and in my new home in St Simons Island GA. Did training with J/World in Annapolis where I used to live.
Done some cruising in BVI on Moorings boats.
Helped with a couple of deliveries from Bahamas up to NC and MD.
Now I am looking for my own blue water boat but before I buy I’d like to spend some time as a crew person before I take on the challenge of skipper.
I was an engineer at one time and a pilot at another so I’m reasonably good with technical things and pretty handy with a screw driver as well as a spatula.
If you could use a hard-working, easy-to-get-along-with crew person, I’d appreciate the opportunity to speak with you.

Would you be available to meet a boat in the next week? I am in the Bahamas and going to go from here to Jamaica then Panama.
Can you cover your own transportation to and from the boat? I can cover only all expenses while on the boat, fuel, dockage, repairs, food, etc. We should get to Panama by the end of February. Or you could stay only to Jamaica.
