Possible Job for the Right Female Crew fishing all thru the Caribbean.

Testing the waters here to see if this is viable...

I am the Captain of a 70' Sportfishing Machine... We are Currently in the DR, doing an engine rebuild. Soon we will be leaving to go thru the VI's BVI's and south thru the Leewards and Windwards to Venezuela, and the ABC Islands.. On to Columbia and back up the Western Caribbean side, Via Panama, and Costa Rica, Belize, Roatan Honduras, Mexico etc. and eventually ending up in Lauderdale.

6 months and longer.... Fishing and stopping wherever we want till we want to go again.. Was considering a male crew/1st. Mate but really need a female who can do the guys job, AND who will also take care of the interior of the boat as well...

The boat is 1st. class and you will have your own cabin 90% of the time.

Need someone who is NO.1 Open minded....As we will be having the owner and guests coming and going.. athletic and loves to fish (Marlin etc.) and dive, AND wax the boat.

Also will be helping me with the maintenance of the on-board machinery. IN other words must be interested and willing to do all of the jobs required to live and move thru the Caribbean on a 70' Yacht.

Must be drug Free and have all your credentials in order to travel..

Pay will be based on experance..

Please PM me for further info if you may be interested and qualified for this Great Position.. thx

Re: Possible Job for the Right Female Crew fishing all thru the Caribbean.

Hi there,

I am a 24 year old South African female. I love the ocean, I love fishing and I don't mind hard work! I don't have experience but I guarantee I will make up for that with my hard work and willingness to help out with anything. I love to learn new skills and I´m always up for a challenge.

The job sounds great and I would love to hear more about it.

Please can you send further information and let me know if you would like to hear more about me.

Thanks,

Linda

Hello, I have had some inquiries... Some of you are far away... Looking for more... possibly closer to Fla. DR. VI's etc.

LOL.. There is literally hundreds of females wanting to crew here but none have a viable passport.....

Always gotta be somebody reading into it.... LOL.. legit job... Bet u would look at it diff if I was a female capt. posting for crew... But the parameters I am looking for would suit a female. Lot of interior spaces where Guys are not good or don't have the capabilities to keep the boat clean etc. Not all blood and fish guts all the time...

Sry, couldn't resist. It was the "open minded" bit that kicked off the thought. Seen some ramifications of that before, and heard much more. Take care, Cap'n Sam...nice boat, too!

I read into it because my experience is that someone who expects a woman to do the cleaning on top of "the guy" work is sexist and not above hitting on crew. Furthermore, the idea that one one needs to be open minded in dealing with guests is more likely to suggest that they need to put up with the treatment they get than anything else.

Hey Capstam, I am a 6'4 300 pound bearded guy, but I might consider a sex change for the right money. Not sure how open minded I am.

I would say that qualifies as pretty "open minded".
