I'm seeking
passage out of
Fiji around May. I'll be ending my
current gig, and am trying to make my way back home. Ideally in the direction of
Hawaii,
Guam or
Samoa (or the US); but it doesn't matter too much.
I'm an experienced professional mariner. Spent the past two years sailing aboard a 200" square rigger from
Canada thru the
South Pacific islands (tonga, cooks, society,
Samoa, Pitcairn, Galapagos) as far as
Australia and
New Zealand. I've sailed schooners up and down the eastern North American coast. I've worked aboard pilot boats in Prince William Sound
Alaska, and tugboats in
New York. I'm well versed in coastal piloting and routing long passages. I'm a
Maine Maritime Academy graduate. As a person, I'm easy going, keen to learn and to teach, a musician, I'm good at fixing things,
rigging,
sails, systems, and maintaining engines.
Please contact me if your passing thru
Fiji and looking for crew. Or if your heading toward the US in anyway.
