Re: Nova Scotia - Bermuda - Caribean

Tony, I might be your man. Experienced 21 year old, varsity sailor at McGill U, looking to crew from US or Canada to the Caribbean in August. Will you be going as far south as Guadeloupe or Dominica?

I also speak French which might be a handy tool down there.

Please contact me petercvsinnott [at] gmail

All the best,
Peter

Re: Nova Scotia - Bermuda - Caribean

hi Tony. I am 48 years old Israeli man looking to take some time off and cruise the Carribean. I have sailing experience, mostly in-shore racing, but also some cruising (took a Cat from Sardinia to Mikonos last summer). Let me know if this can be relevant here or to gilad at otmtech dot com. Looking foward.

Re: Nova Scotia - Bermuda - Caribean

Im interested - just turned 40 & quit my corporate job in May with an eye to learning to sail offshore & do something different with my life. Grew up sailing dinghies & canoeing in the great lakes & would love to see if the offshore life works for me. Quick study, well read, well travelling & open in August/September. Can be reached at 720 903 5534.

I'm totally down to go. I might be a newbie, but I do well under stress, and learn super fast. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Hi

We are two creative and moderately experienced sailorettes who would be really interested in sharing your journey down the east coast.
We are currently hitching our way to the East coast from Colorado.

I speak french and my friend speaks good spanish, we are a folk music duo with a small traveling guitar and egg shaker

Hope to talk soon.

How are you going to ensure your going to miss any hurricanes that frequent the planned route in August/September?

Re: Nova Scotia - Bermuda - Caribean

Hi,if your looking for experienced crew email me at pilotocopilot at yahoo dot com. I have done the trip 4 times last year as mate to various owners, I can provide weather synopsis, navigation and stand my own watches. Would require transportation paid for there and back and daily rate to be negotiated (reasonable). I am Canadian out of Toronto/Grand Bahama Island.

Re: Nova Scotia - Bermuda - Caribean

Hi Tony, your trip is exactly what I'm looking for- serious sea time and knowledge. I have quite a few sailing and other nautical certifications but I lack the sea time. I'm a formally trained Chef by trade. I'm available around the time you've indicated and would love to be a part of that trek. I'm easy going and I'm hoping to find a Captain who loves to talk about sailing and is willing to share his/her knowledge.

Re: Nova Scotia - Bermuda - Caribean

Tony,

What's the status of your search for crew for your Nova Scotia-Bermuda-Caribbean cruise? If you are still looking, I am a retired, 40-year sailor and past owner of four sailboats. Have crewed on a few yacht deliveries in the 80's & 90's (two from Southwest Harbor, ME to the Chesapeake; and one from Chesapeake to Ft. Lauderdale. Have also crusied the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Now age 67, excelllent and excellent physical condition. Am I correct in assuming that you are planning a "cruise" vs. passage-making, including a fair number of ports of call along the route? I am flexible with my time, if planned ahead; and I am interested in either a "leg or two" of your cruise; or perhaps the entire route, depending on your plans? Please advise.

Jim
