Looking To Freelance

Dear Sailors. I am graduating from College in December and want to take a sail adventure. I have open water experience, navigation too. I am on the Sail team at my collge (used to be the fleet captain, gave up the position for school). I am a NOLS graduate in the Sea of Cortez, where I have my open water experience.
I am a journalism major, and offer my skills as a writer, photographer, blogger, an all around entrepreneur. My second major is anthropology, and love to study other cultures and can communicate cross-culturally.
I am not looking for a paid position, only an opprotunity to see the world. I am going to law school in August of 2009, and want to adventure a little more first.
So if you are looking for a crew member who will benifit your boat between the months of December 08 and August 09, please dont hesitate to contact me.
Can't wait to hear from you!

Greetings, and WELCOME aboard Beezer.
Although I'm (like Shakespeare) not certain that the world needs mor Lawyers , I am certain that more of them (& everyone) could be improved by sailing & cruising experience.
Here's hoping that you get some additional water time, before returning to school.

Be prepared to wait around ports but hitchiking is still possible.

Find the fleets and where they are congregating. The Baja Ha-ha is starting soon - Show up in San-Diego look useful, be friendly and make it known you are available.

From Cabo look for the same thing. Sometimes you might have to pay for a flight to hit a new port.

Good luck...

Make a few t-shirts that say AVAILABLE FOR CREW in different bright colors while attending the parties.

Re:

I was reading about the Baja Ha-Ha and I think it starts in November sometime, right in the middle of my semester. Do you know of any good web sites other than this one for people like me?

I often spend time on these two sites. Have had several responses from Findacrew.

We are looking for extra crew for Grenada to Panama to the Galapagos to Tahiti between February and June 2009. Contact me on here to start with. I am an experienced captain with a 47ft cutter and there is myself and one other crew on board at the moment.
