Crew Available: Line handlers Offered for Panama Canal

HI, We are a Dutch couple (also speaking English and German) and we are looking for a volunteer job as line handlers through the Panama canal. We are in Panama now and be availible for the next two weeks. We are responsible, hardworking couple and do have sailing experience. Please send us a e-mail and find out if we match.

I suggest you post a note in the notice board at Shelter Bay Marina. That is where I would expect to find most boats that need line handlers. Have fun!

Then the closest end of the canal is the Pacific end. Boats looking for a linehandler in the Pacific end will be boats going eastbound, of which there are fewer than going the other way. If that is what you want, in addition to the Balboa Yacht Club suggestion made above I would suggest you hang around the dinghy dock at La Playita.

We would love to come along with you as we are still looking for a ride!
However, since we initially didn't receive any replies to all our efforts (we tried postering, hanging out at the marina, leaving messages on VHF, etc), we enrolled into a two week Spanish class. We will be done with these classes friday the 8th and will be available from then onwards.
