Crew Wanted: Licensed Skipper in Puerto Rico

Hi there,

I am looking for a USCG licensed skipper to run my boat in Puerto Rico. This would also involve taking the boat from the Bocas del Toro to Puerto Rico, and then operating it.

The boat is a steel 44 foot Bruce Roberts Offshore that has been refitted in Central America. I am having an engine repair done in 2 weeks, and then she will be ready to go.

Cresswell, the Jones Act would effectively prohibit your employment with PR waters, although I believe (?) you would be able to do the delivery from Panama.

That is correct in my understanding. You need to either be a US citizen or have an appropriate work permit.
